Back to all projects280-pax, 2-bedroom student dormitory with common spaces, 4 professor apartments, located downtown Budapest, on a relatively small and intensely populated area. Besides the servicing offices, the design plan required a snack bar, fitness and events room as well as common spaces on each level. Building cost-optimising as well as low operational costs were key. We designed a compact functionalist building in two units. The common spaces were placed into the protruding parts of the street façade, which contain a kitchen, common dining room and recreational rooms on every floor. The ground floor as well as the top floor hosts further rooms for common use. As a bonus, a cosy relaxing-and sundeck was created on the roof.
